So it's the end of the school summer holidays and back to work tomorrow.

One of the major problems in schools is behavioural problems. How do you feel behavioural problems are dealt with? What kind of discipline do you think works well and what disciplines have you seen that you feel are just a waste of time?

I'd be really interested to hear your views.

A teacher was telling me the other day that one of her student's has no mother at home so he act's out in all his female teacher's classrooms. They think he is seeking attention from a mother figure and doesnt care if its good or bad attention.

So yeah, doc is right, it usually does begin at home.

Honestly, I don't think I'm mature enough to tell. I do know teachers are still regarded with some respect, even the ones that abuse it and I think it mostly comes from upbringing and a general mentality. Physically attacking a teacher is just not done.
