Today we had a school shooting in my school system. A kid shot another kid in the back of the head, who later died in the hospital just recently.

Friday's shooting happened in the middle of class change. The halls were crowded with students when the incident happened. We're told it occurred right in front of the band room. The suspected shooter was quickly subdued and taken in to custody.
There's no word yet on a possible motive for the crime, and the suspected shooter's name has not been released, but we are told he's also a 9th grader at *school*.
...Police Chief... stressed that ...Schools are safe, and that there is no reason to believe this was anything other than an isolated incident. Chief... says that his own child, as student at *school*, will be in school on Monday morning.
