School tortures pupils with Bieber song

A US school has been playing a Justin Bieber song on repeat over loud speakers as a form of torture.

The Canadian pop star's hit single Baby has been booming out for a week at Tenino High School in the US as part of a charity drive.

Organiser have vowed they will only stop playing it once they reach their fundraising target.

The school is attempting to raise $500 for orphans in Ghana but pupils there are less than impressed.

One girl said: "I like Justin Bieber but this song has to stop." Another shouted: "We hate him!"

The school, in Washington state, is carrying out a food and book drive for its sister school Crossover International Academy which educates more than 250 orphans in Africa.

But frustrated students vented their anger at the ploy to TV news crews.

One teenager said: "Some of us are about to go deaf. I'm pretty sure I've already had five Ibuprofen today."

I've heard of cruel and unusual punishment/torture, but this is sticking bazarre! I never did this when I was actually in school, but I'd be considering ditching school until the fundraiser was over with. Sure this is for a good cause, but good Lord, do you really have to go as far as torturing people about it?
