The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of a foul-mouthed parrot found on the loose in West Lothian.
The Scotsman reports that Scotland's leading animal welfare charity was called in to rescue the cheeky bird on Saturday from a garden in Livingston.
The potty-mouthed parrot, a Timneh African grey, is now entertaining staff at the Scottish SPCA's Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, where he has been nicknamed Sam.
Kenny Sharpe, the centre's assistant manager, said: "Sam is a real character. Not only does he know a vast array of swear words, he also dances and whistles if he feels he's not getting enough attention.
"Sam doesn't have an identity ring so unfortunately we've not been able to trace his owner. Hopefully someone will recognise him and come forward."
