Seasonal activities?

Are there any seasonal activities that are popular in your region during one specific time of year?

Maybe a festival comes to town every June (for example)?

I am not to far from San Francisco and they have all sorts of annual festivals and events.

Skiing and sno-boarding are very popular here in the wintertime - three "ski hills" in the area:
Stevens Pass Ski Area, Snoqualmie, and Mission Ridge.

Oh yeah people do that around here too, just not me. Not a big fan of camping myself. I guess I am too much of a city boy

Usually festivals like in summer time we have the Rose Parade/festival on the water front. State fair is pretty fun. There's also the Greek Festival in October.

Hahaha, fair enough. I usually go for the sights, the exercise, food and whatnot. I like seeing the tables you can purchase from and will sometimes go on the rides. It isn't fun if it's too hot, though, you're right.

We have festivals, but we don't really go to them because most of them cost a lot of money just to get in. The free ones are tiny and don't offer anything we're interested in.

We basically do a lot of hiking in the local parks when the weather is nice.
