Have you ever given an ex (girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other) a second chance?

If you have, did it work out the second time around?

Nahh, most I did was have a one night stand a few months after we broke up. I probably wouldn't give any of them a second chance, but who knows, maybe I'll have a future ex-girlfriend that's worth it.

A girlfriend I had a few years back was a ton of drama and I broke up with her. She kept texting and calling me wanting a 2nd chance, I gave her one a couple weeks later we were broken up again (permanently) for the same reasons.

To me, they are called an ex for a reason. If it didn't work out the first time, I'm not about to try it and go through that hurt all over again.

A blanket answer is probably meaningless.

It would depend on a number of factors, including the circumstances of the breakup, the general relationship before said event, and the state of affairs when the subject of a reunion came up.

If the breakup were due to outside forces beyond the control of either, say being transferred to a different time zone for a job, and they were then, later, transferred back, that might be something worth considering, unlike if you caught them in bed with your best friend.
