How did the September 11 attacks affect you? What were you doing when you heard the news?

I was in the 12th grade in English Class. Watched the 2nd one crash into the tower live.

It was early afternoon UK time when it happened. I was leaving work and I checked my phone, and my sister had sent me a message saying something like can you believe what happened with the twin towers? but it made no sense to me as I'd been working so had no idea what was going on.

I think I must have text her about it on the journey home but I dont really remember. I do remember that by the time I got home, the 2nd tower had gone down. I sat watching the news on TV in a state of numbness cause it was just so freaking insane.

RIP xx

i was in the sixth grade and when they said that i thought they were talking about this big globe monument that is near new york city ( i live in new york and i was only like an hour away from where it happend.)

it's a bad thing and bad things happen but i think people are a little too much crazy. i mean i don't want to hear about it anymore, enough is enough.

my uncle was in the 6th floor and once he heard the big boom! he ran out of there like a stack of pancakes! he isn't a good person, too bad he didn't get killed...

i hope i do not offend anybody, i am not being offending on purpose.

I was a small child when 9/11 happened. I remember being home with my dad and watching TV in his room on the water bed. He was upset so it made me upset and I didn't know what just occurred, just knew it wasn't good. Sad day in history.

I was...8, I think...I don't really remember.

Man I was 8 years old and 7.2 months on September 11 and I remember it like yesterday.

I was at work, my daughter called me (she was at school) and we watched the entire thing on the news--it was just so surreal.
