Sex with Students

I just found out that my son's English teacher got arrested for having sex with one of the students.....

That's horrible. Scary thought when you have to be concerned whether your kids are with a corrupt teacher..

It's sort of scary to think that it's happening to someone you know....you hear about it, but never expect that to happen to someone you know.

Wow.. Never seen that happen. Have seen a lot of teachers sleeping with other teachers and staff though. Teachers cant seem to keep their pants on.

They may drop the charges--they're checking the age to see if he was above the age of concent.

The school district I was apart of (and my brother still is, although he'll be graduating in 2010) has recently been very popular with teacher trouble. At a jr high we had a teacher having similar situations then at the high school we had a teacher, who was my brother's English teacher getting too friendly with her students--meaning that she was buying them illegal things to underage kids. There has been another that I can't recall either.



I think the main problem with us is that our district is so willing to hire right out of college teachers (which isn't always bad, since I too will be one in a few years) who get a smaller paycheck who are only a few years older than their students instead of actually seeing who is best to fit the job, which makes the teachers cool or hot and students can see them as being attractive and even the other way around. It's really sad.

There was one teacher in my high school like that. He got fired and the student he slept with got expelled. I never really know who he was though. Never even heard of his name.

Th kid was a senior. Apparently, if he is over the age of concent (16 for kentucky) it appears that there will be no criminal charges--just her losing her job.

After spending all those years in school, hundreds of thousands of dollars in education--why would you throw it away for a kid? That's just stupid, in my opinion.....

I think these types of situations are sad.

Not only is it disgusting, but a complete abuse of power. There's teachers who flirt with kids younger than 15 in highschools and ought to be fired. It's nasty and unprofessional.



If you were that much in love you would've waited until the child was 18yrs of age. Hell you would've waited an eternity if you had to. It's just all about getting your rocks off by fulfilling some little fetish.



I put my child in school to be educated, not sexed.Adults should be with adults, and children should be with children.



I think one teacher tried to hit on me when I was 15/14 or so when I was in highschool. Kept grinning in my face at lunch time. I didn't realize it until I got out of highschool. Disgusting.

Damn, that's intense. Sex scandals seem to be popping up (no pun intended?) all over the place recently.

Well, there is videos of my chemistry teacher table dancing around the internet, so nothing new. But when teachers have intimate relationships with students, we know something is wrong.

Teachers have always had lives outside of the classroom (I know--big shock) and when I was in school, I even had a couple of teachers that married former students. I think with the internet, cell phones, cameras everywhere--it's just not as easy to be discrete in these matters. People tend to forget that most everyone has a camera phone, that you can be at a club and 20 minutes later--there's a video on youtube......

My son got his report card yesterday. His English grade came up--a lot--so I asked him if he had slept with this teacher to get such a dramatic rise in his grade.

He replies--Nope, but I think I was next on her list. (where the heck does he get that sarcasm?)
