A woman has said she was diagnosed as being delusional and sectioned because she said that President Obama was following her on Twitter.
The thing is, he actually was.
Kam Brock is now suing the psychiatric ward that told her wrongly that she had bipolar disorder and forced her to stay at Harlem Hospital’s mental health facility.
A treatment plan seen by the New York Daily News says: ‘Objective: Patient will verbalize the importance of education for employment and state that Obama is not following her on Twitter.’
However, it took us all of 30 seconds to find her account and discover that she was telling the truth.
Things escalated quickly for Kam when police stopped her in September last year and seized her car believing she had been smoking marijuana.
She said: ‘Next thing you know, the police held onto me, the doctor stuck me with a needle and I was knocked out.’
NYPD and Harlem Hospital both declined to comment.
