Shooting protesters loot store

And evidently the kid that was shot had missed Sunday School a few times.

You will not see this story on US media as they are busy painting the kid as a saint.

  • The teen was suspended from school three times
  • He was on suspension when he was shot in February, after officials caught him with a 'marijuana pipe' and a baggie with drug residue
  • Trayvon was kicked out of school in October for graffiti after he was allegedly caught with a 'burglary tool' and a bag full of women's jewelry

I honestly don't see much relevance here. Not denying that he could be a kid who made poor choices. A lot of us have questionable pasts. At the moment none of those factors apply to someone walking home and being shot..

And then there is this:

Over the weekend, members of the New Black Panther Party showed just how tense the situation in the Trayvon Martin shooting has gotten: They offered a $10,000 bounty for the capture of George Zimmerman, who shot and killed the unarmed teenager.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Mikhail Muhammad announced the reward during a protest on Saturday, and when a Sentinel reporter asked if he was inciting violence, Muhammad said, An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

And this one:

With Twitter and Facebook continuing to explode with posts purporting to contain the address of George Zimmerman, property records and interviews reveal that the home is actually the longtime residence of a married Florida couple, both in their 70s, who have no connection to the man who killed Trayvon Martin and are now living in fear due to erroneous reports about their connection to the shooter.

The mass dissemination of the address on Edgewater Circle in Sanford--the Florida city where Martin was shot to death last month--took flight last Friday when director Spike Lee retweeted a tweet containing Zimmerman’s purported address to his 240,000 followers.

Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't support how the reaction went from protests to looting. I don't support putting a bounty on the shooters head (although I agree Zimmerman should be arrested). As a side note the New Black Panther Party that wants him arrested is not the same as the original Black Panthers.

Also there's a difference between the media portraying the boy with having a squeaky clean image and him being the victim of a senseless shooting. After all Zimmerman is not the upright person in this case. None of this warrants the shooting of an unarmed boy because he looked suspicious.

Not to mention celebrities coming out of the woodwork, dressing up in hoodies to sell a music video. It becomes from a simple tragedy to circus. That's the sad part.
