A teenager's glasses may have saved her life in a drive-by shooting.
Police say 16-year-old Alonza Bryant was lying on a couch inside her Seattle home when gunfire started outside on Saturday night.
Authorities say a bullet came through the window and struck the bridge of Alonza's glasses and deflected away. The glasses broke, but she was not seriously injured.
She said: "I fell asleep with my glasses on, if I didn't have my glasses on I wouldn't be here."
Police say at around 9.40pm there were several people including children, inside the house at the time.
An unknown group of individuals, possibly in a dark sedan, drove by the house and began shooting.
Several of the shots went through the walls and one round went through the front window.
Alonza was struck by a single round on the bridge of her glasses, breaking them.
