Should assisted suicide should be legal?

I think it should be legal, especially if the person has a debilitating illness that they're going to suffer from anyways and die soon. I think it's inhumane that people have to suffer, yet when our pets are suffering we're allowed to put them down to end their suffering.
Totally agree plus add all that to the fact that it's almost impossible to prevent suicide or enforce laws against suicide so why bother prohibiting it...? Just like drugs governments only fight wars of prohibition to justify using your tax dollars to pay them to provide false senses of security...
