Should social media platforms regulate political advertising?

If political campaigns have free reign on social media, we’re doomed to highly influenced and manipulated elections. Is it worth it?

I don't think it's worth it.

I think those platforms should just be about people connecting. Not having more political advertising pushed in front of them.

It's everywhere as it is. It's on the news, it's advertised on email websites, and not to mention there's plenty of people obsessed with it as it is.

Do we really need more of it being pushed in front of us? I don't think so. But that's just me.

The same discussion was had in the seventies with TV.

The main ones crying were those that couldn't raise enough money to annoy everybody during prime time shows.
