Should there be a monetary advertising limit for politicians around election times? Wouldn't that be more fair if they all had the same amount of money to spend?

Yes! The fact they have to advertise themselves says more about the political process than the candidates themselves, but there 100% should be a limit on how much they can spend. Those advertisements are awful, just non-stop attack ads, no actual policies or reasons to vote FOR someone, just reasons to vote AGAINST whoever they don't want winning.

It would probably make things fair, but even if there were more regulations in place for this, I just figure there would still be some way to circumvent any of the regulations anyway.

Before elections, politicians were so willing to spend more money on advertisements. I think it will be controlled because this is not fair for the other candidates for elections who cannot afford to do this. It should be a fair game.
