What is socially acceptable in your country that's not acceptable in another?

Women thinking and dressing however they choose. People owning and carrying weapons. I'm sure there's lots more, but those are the first 2 that come immediately to mind.
:yeahthat:

Touching people, even if it's just a touch on the arm or shoulder or back. It depends on where you are, but I feel it's not as frowned upon here in the US or people won't be extremely rude to you if you are slightly in their personal space.

Being overly happy/extroverted/talkative, especially as a cashier/store clerk. I hear a lot of visitors find it odd.

Walking around in your shoes indoors/in home.

Tipping when eating out.

Farting. It's like no one points it out here in America, but I know in some countries it's almost as if letting one off is the equivalent to shitting on the floor and it will be called out.

A weird socially acceptable thing here that a husband can beat his wife if she really was rude to him. However, there are many attempts now from civil activists and many people to oblige the government to forbid that by the law. I completely refuse it.

Good on those civil activists! Husband's should never beat their wives. If a husband gets to the point of where he actually wants to be violent towards his wife (and actually go through with it), it's time for a divorce.

Exactly. I cannot imagine having that be a socially acceptable thing in my country. If a man ever laid his hands on me in anger or to hurt me, he would be so, so very sorry he ever did it. I mean there would be blood and missing organs... xD I would be in prison.

...and he would deserve it! :fighting:
