Dengue Fever.

My defenses were so low.. if it wasn't for the physiological saline, i'd be dead.
 
I've never had anything life threatening.



I'm glad you survived. That sounds horrible.
Yeah, it was a horrible experience to be honest. The second phase of the fever is even more unpleasant, your whole body hurts and your skin looks like you have tons of fungus. You have to take anti allergic pills.
 
I probably would have died at 6 years old from strep throat.
 
Most likely Septicemia.. I had an insect bite that went really nasty about 10 years ago, and did the typical guy thing of "it'll be alright!". That was until a nurse at work caught site of it, and demanded that I go to the walk-in centre ?

They said I had borderline Septicemia and put me on a large dose of antibiotics which pretty much knocked me out.
 
If I am going to die, I do not want to die due to certain diseases or illnesses. Old age is fine with me.
