From what I've seen of the Common Core 'sociology' curriculum, the central idea is that most other countries are better places to live than the USA and that most Americans would rather be someplace else, and that most "wage slave" people would rather be doing something else for their daily bread.


Given the kid's questions, that's what the teacher wanted them to ask, so they could find out where their parents would rather live and do.
