SOPA - Stop Online Piracy Act

For those of you that's been following the news. And if you haven't heard of this yet. What's your view on this? I'm not sure if its been passed yet. And hopefully it hasn't. It would violate Free Speech, and websites would most likely not get a say in anything before being shut down. I do not like this act at all.

I agree with you. I dislike censorship of any kind, especially internet. We shouldn't have censorship in a free democratic country.

Can you please explain how pirating or counterfeiting content is in violation of Free Speech.

I'm all for anti-piracy (even though I do pirate quite a few things myself...), but this certainly isn't the way to do it.

Sue a website to make them take down what ever it may be, then that's that?

Agreed. I think if this act passed through. The reactions would make the OWS people look tame.
