Spending too much time online

Have you ever been told by someone that you spend too much time online? Maybe by someone who is also online saying that you are always on, how do you deal with this?

Who cares what people say. Its none of their buisness. I check the forum before work, on breaks, after work. I might get on a few hours in the middle of the night. I have a life.. I have a full time job, a part time job, a child, and go out with friends once in a while. Some how I manage to still have time to get on the computer a few times a day.



There is so many ways to get online these days.. If I had a phone that had internet, I'd be here all the time. It that it may appear that people sit at home and have no life but really, you dont know what they are up to or where/how they are on the internet. If people can observe you and say that you are on the computer too much, then they are the ones that are on the computer too much. lol

I know I don't spend that much time online. Like Nebulous, I have a part time job (can't handle a full one), I have a site of my own I run, but I'm not on there 24/7. I try to space in an hour or two at a time. 45 minutes if I'm not feeling the greatest. However, no, I have never had someone tell me I spend too much time online. I don't really care what people say either. I do have other things I do in my spare time as well.

Well, I am on a lot of the time, and I sometimes think maybe too much, but it's not as if I don't balance it out. I get outside plenty, I'm looking for a job, I have friends, and I do lots of other things besides getting on the internet. So I think I'm okay as I am.

Even if someone wanted to be on the computer all day everyday and do nothing else with their life, that is their business. If that makes them happy then who are we to judge them?

When not working or sleeping. And the random going somewhere or movie watching on tv. I spend all time on line. Only person who's ever said anything about it was my mom.

When I was younger my mum used to complain all the time.. My grandad always complains now, I do spend alot of time one but I also have other things to do. Work, Band, Xbox, Reading, Photography, Pub etc.



I don't care what people think now. I do what I do, If you don't like it, Tuff!

My mom and siblings usually do. I don't care for what they say though. Being online is part of who I am and I don't think they understand what time we're living in. We're living in a time where technology is the future.

i am on the internet most of the day so everyone says that to me



my mom says me to study but i only like to study in late night



so i spend my whole day on internet and then night in studying and if there is sometime left i can finally sleep

I only have my siblings joke around it like saying,computer nerd or something dumb of the likes.



As Nebulous says it's our business if we spend our time online all day everyday 24/7.



I used to have people complain 100x worse when we used dial-up internet and we used a house phone

Yeah mine sometimes joke, and sometimes don't. It gets annoying though... lol.

Personally I know I'm online a lot, but most of my courses requires it to get the files necessary. As well as I study a few distance courses. I don't remember if anyone has complained about me being on to much, online wise. Mom used to complain, but now she's on more than I am XD



My entire family spend a lot of time online, as well as a lot of my friends. We all use it for different things.



Mom - poker

Dad - Online gaming

Brother - Online gaming, a few Swedish forums and whatever else he does.

Me - School, online gaming, forums, Anime/manga, booking time at the gym XD etc...





If someone complains I just give them the finger... it's usually my brother that complains though.
