Rome Never Fell.
It has simply morphed through various phases, such as the Holy Roman Empire and the Tsars (remember, that is the Russian word for Caesar), various later European regimes, and simply molded modern governments, the USA, the EU, etc, to suit the model as dictated by those who think in terms of Millennia instead of 'five year plans'.
As was their talent in the Old World, when there was a revolution, such as that little dust up in France in the 1790's, they tactfully backed both sides from the shadows of their palaces.
The ancient Imperial family and their sworn associates are the Kingmakers pulling the strings of those who believe that they are the Kingmakers such as the Bilderbergs and Bohemian Grovers.
