I get it in those situations where the police shoot someone who is unarmed, but this kid fired thee shots first... what's the problem?

On the other hand it seems that every time a civilian shoots some one in self defense they are practically worshiped in the media, but if a cop shoots someone..... O.o

In this case, the young man made a very dumb mistake and fired his weapon--presumably at police--and got his wish of return fire. If this young man was unarmed or surrendering this would have been a completely different story, but that is not the case here.

Teyonna Myers, 23, of Florissant, said Myers was her cousin. “He was unarmed,” she told the St Louis Post-Dispatch . “He had a sandwich in his hand, and they thought it was a gun. It’s like Michael Brown all over again.”

Apparently sandwiches fire bullets now. Who knew?

What kind of "sandwich?" A semi-automatic "sandwich" [makes a gesture like she's holding rifle] or a hand held "sandwich" [makes a gesture like she's holding pistol]?
