Benedryl cream or gel.

Rubbing Alcohol if you don't have any Benedryl.

Oooh lavender oil is really good for that kind of thing too! I know you're a guy but if it's itching really bad it might be worth a try!

Rubbing Alcohol, Oatmeal?

Never heard of those remedies.

Never seen Aveeno in the stores? Or commercials on tv? That's a fancy oatmeal bath treatment.

The only difference is that Aveeno is finer (texture wise) If you want a fine powder, you can always put it in the food processer or blender and powder it that way.

It's easier to keep on the bites that way too. When my youngest had chickenpox, it was easier to disolve in the bath and everything.....

I have really bad psoriases (SP?) and I use Aveeno to help with the itching when that gets really bad. Works quite well. Stings like heck sometimes but it works!

Take benadryl & hop in the shower. If you don't have a shower, use an icepack or bottle of water to cool your skin down and that way you'll be more focused on being cold rather than your itchiness. It really works, try it.

Benedryl makes me drowsy, actually, so I usually take that right before bed, and yes, that does help as well!

Isn't it awesome? I love how it can let you rest while serving a good cause, stopping your itching. If you're itching during the day, Caladryl is what you need. Drys it up and fixes that itch within minutes.

Caladryl doesn't make a person drowsy, does it?

Nope, it is this liquid stuff you rub on your skin.

I think I've heard of that stuff before... it sounds familiar.

Ice is good. Takes away some of the heat. Just grab an ice-cube and apply it directly to your bite. It'll mlt fairly quickly if your arm is hot, so do it somewhere where it's easy to clean up, like over the kitchen sink.
