There's a family of adventurers, a dire mission to save the planet from a mysterious ecological crisis, an absent father, three generations of insecure men, and a bunch of under-developed female supporting characters whose placeholder personalities range from strong to loving.

Cute movie. Lots of cool / bizarre creatures and fantastical beasts in a strange land.

They did touch on some woke issues of today, there was an interracial couple and a gay character, so don't clutch your pearls too hard if you go see it and are offended by such things.

The ratings weren't great. I'm still deciding whether or not I want to watch it.

I've literally never looked up a rotten tomatoes score or read a review before going to see a movie, I just go see them.
