Suitcase Escape! ... Kinda

Seth Abramovitch — 19-year-old Maria del Mar Arjona tried to break her husband out of a Mexican prison during a conjugal visit by stuffing him inside a suitcase and rolling him out of jail.



Staff at the prison in Chetumal noticed that the woman seemed nervous and was pulling a black, wheeled suitcase that looked bulky.



So they unzipped the bag and found Juan Ramirez Tijerina, currently serving a 20-year sentence for a weapons charge, folded up neatly inside. There he is, as they found him. He looks like he's having a terrible day. [AP, photo via AP]

Did they not wonder when she went 'in', why she had a suitcase with her ?

Especially if, as I thought was the normal procedure, the case is opened

to be searched. It would have been empty ! Who goes to visit someone

with an empty suitcase on wheels ??



He's not wearing any trousers !
