Its almost summer time

Do you have any plans for the summer? Going anywhere or doing anything fun?
How do you stay cool in the hot weather? What are some of your summer hobbies / activities?

I like to go swimming every weekend at my grandmas house. Hope she gets the pool clean soon!

It'll probably reach 30C on the hotter days, not as hot as some places, but I like my outside temperature to be below 20C.

In July I'm going for a 4 day medical conference in Tampa Florida.
In August there are 2 Harley competitions that I will be entering (if I can get the days off).
If things work out with the new guy I've been seeing, he has a boat. Would love to go boating!

How do you stay cool in the hot weather?
Strip down to bare bones? (only kidding, well, maybe I'm not)
I like to go swimming in the pond that's on my property.

What are some of your summer hobbies / activities?
Indoor ones, I cannot divulge as they are not rated PG13.
Riding my "bike" as often as I can is my #1 priority.

I'm going to have my summer cut short because I plan to be interning at a local representative's office from June until the beginning of August.

Although, I did take a semester off college beforehand, so I guess I still got a decently long break anyway.

What kind of work will you do as an intern?

Well, among other things, answering phone calls from constituents. Reading emails from them, doing research on new bills presented in Congress, managing general office duties, and perhaps outreach programs with voters.

Sounds like fun. Is that something you want to do as a career later on?

Actually, I just want to teach, but at a university-level. My major is political science, but I'm also minoring in French, and possibly in math as well.

I do feel having the experience of working in the field, however, would definitely improve my chances of getting into a top-tier post-graduate school (I plan on staying at the same university for my Master's degree though).

Yeah some real world experience would probably help you be a better professor too. You'd actually know what you're talking about.
