I don't think it's anything to worry about. Doing the math, I figured out more people will die this year because of regular flu than swine flu. People are really just scare of it because it is something different than the norm.

It's a bunch of BS, not that bad and really I know a few people who had it, they were sick for a week or so and then they were back to normal. I just wish I profited when this was still new last year with swine flu domains

I've had it, it wasn't to bad. I actually thought I had a bad cold, but maybe I didn't get the worst of it. I agree with you, the regular flu's worse, but the swine doesn't end after march like the regular one.

I haven't had it, but I don't think it's that serious either and it seems to be out of the news recently.

Well my mom has lung problems and the Swine Flu attacks the lungs first so everyone had to get vaccinated.

Im 17, I have to move out when Im 18, I really didnt care if I got it or not.

I've been better for a month now, but we called the hospital and confirmed, indeed, I had the Swine Flu! Haha, Great story I will be able to tell my children, whenever that day comes.

Its funny how nobody cares about the large amount of people who die from the regular flu each year.

This one is no different. Glad you are better.

To be honest, only symptom I had was that I was tired. Slept good, aside from sleep, I had no other problems. It was nice to sleep in and not be yelled at. Regular flu is much worse--ditto to the comparison to the regular flu. Thanks! All my siblings have had it, meaning the entire family had to take TamiFlu for a few weeks and then had to wash our hands A LOT.

They're offering free swine-flu shots at the college I'm at, but I'm not taking it. I've had the regular flu twice last year alone, and the experiences I've heard others go through who had swine flu said it isn't as bad as regular flu.

Correct.

Not bad at all, unless you do not find pleasure in sleeping A LOT, then it is horrible.

Well I think how badly it affects you depends on your age. It may just feel like a cold in your late 20s or even 30s but for a teen it could be really harmful.

Me, my sister, and brother, all teenagers, spread the Swine flu to one another, all of us are fine and the only problems we encountered was extreme tiredness. I slept really good!

I was watching the 10 o'clock news today, which was 2 hours ago, and there was a story about a 15 year old girl who almost died from swine flu who is healthy and went home today. Her mom just said that she thought that her daughter had a sinus infection that ended up being swine flu and she acted fast.

That's all I remember.

We've had a few cases at school, but we've had more flu cases.

I agree..

I don't think it's anything to worry about like most people said, more people die from other diseases then H1M1.

Firstly, I too am glad to hear you are doing better.

I agree with Nebulous in that the media has created a major sense of fear and a stigma with the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus. It has proven to be no more dangerous than the traditional winter flu (which is actually one of several virii), and on many cases it is much more mild.

Yearly, over 30,000 people in the US die from the winter flu, a number that far exceeds the number of deaths from the H1N1 virus. The biggest concern is that more people may be susceptible to contracting this virus as it has just emerged and many folks have not built a basic immunity to it.
