There is never an end to technology getting upgraded rendering old models redundant and with no spare parts made available.

Do you think it is fair that one is forced to go for upgrades with no spare parts made available for older models? Or is it just a craze to go for upgrades with new features that are often not used?

Based on my cybersecurity certs and training, there is a point. Threats are ever evolving and not upgrading after it reaches end of life is essentially a ticking time bomb (unless you don’t connect it to the internet).

Though if it’s a device that has no cybersecurity to worry about, it is annoying.

It is part of making progress in terms of updating modern devices these days. The transition is fast because of business competition.
