Technology Use = Social Life Problem

It has been shown that people who actively use technology, have a harder time putting themselves into social situations. Not to mention we just aren't required to involve ourselves in social interactions anymore. We can do everything on our phones, we don't have to go into the bank, or meet people face to face. All we have to do is pull out our phones and take a picture of our check or text a friend. "Cell phones, computers, social networks, and even gaming consoles allow us to communicate without ever physically seeing the person we're communicating with. Technology is taking over our lives in general, and it is causing a problem with our social life.

I was never very social, even before technology of today. So I can't really blame technology.

I have always been very kept to myself, even since kindergarten, social-anxiety has always been a problem for me. Technology had absolutely nothing to do with it, however, technology did help give me an outlet to improve my writing skills, and figure out what I wanted to do with my life. So, I suppose it can be said that technology saved me from myself. I don't doubt that it might do bad to others socially, but I think it has given me a lot more than it has taken away.

I disagree. People us this an excuse for not going out into the world and trying to meet new people and have social life. I used to be anti social in highschool. I decided it need to go leave home and so someone fresh, so i did and now my social life is just fine. Technology im sure has played apart in it due to all the things you can do online now. But personal i feel people nowadays don't really go out there and try to have a social life anymore. They are just fine being inside playing games, or being on the computer.
