Ted Turner: I Think It's Good US Troops Are Commiting Suicide

On CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, Ted Turner said he thinks it’s “good” that American soldiers are committing suicide in large numbers because it shows an aversion to war.

I don't think it shows an aversion to war at all. I mean, what kind of moron would join a line of work that deals explicitly in something you don't like?

If we had a draft in place then he might have had a point. We don't so he just sounds foolish and it is more likely he said it that way to get attention rather then make a statement of actual worth to anyone.



Though you would be surprised at how many take jobs they hate just because they need the money and can't find work they enjoy that pays enough. Don't know why anyone would do that because the miserable feelings they get at work will just spill over into their off time which will negate anything good that the money could have brought in.
