This.  Sometimes, people need to learn the hard way that they shouldn't do these things.  I know one kid lit himself on fire and then had to go to the hospital because he was an idiot and got like second degree burns.  He made another video and posted it on YouTube telling other kids NOT to do it, which I thought was great because apparently kids don't like to listen to adults who know what they're talking about.

Dharamshala: - Sources coming out of Tibet say a Tibetan Buddhist monk reportedly died on Tuesday after setting himself on fire in protest against Chinese hard-line policies toward Tibetan people.

"Kalsang Yeshe, a 38-year-old Tibetan Buddhist monk set himself on fire in front of a police station in Kham Tawo, eastern Tibet at around 11:30 am local time," Yama Tsering, an exiled Tibetan monk living in South India told the Tibet Post International.

"Yeshe self-immolated in protest against China's repressive policies and shouted slogans for the return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Tibet," he said, citing anonymous local sources.

Selling fireworks (or lighters) to minors is illegal in Costa Rica. Those are extremely dangerous and everyone must know about it.

Kids/teens don't need to go out and necessarily buy a lighter from a store... They could have them at their house already, they could find one anywhere, steal one or use other methods of creating fire (matches, turning the oven on, etc).

Hell I saw a lighter on the ground a few minutes ago. It could still have some juice in it.

very true, which is why the military focuses on trying to get late teen to join the army.  At that age they will follow orders without questioning and think they are invincible.
