A couple of weeks ago an 18 year old kid got stabbed in front of my favourite bar. I was standing a meter away from him. That was pretty traumatic.

Nahh, the guy was drunk and could barely stand. Some guys tackled him and got the knife off him. It was more general shock of seeing it combined with fear that the kid might die, which he did.

Well, this is Belgium... so probably only 10 to 15 years before he gets out on "good behaviour". >_>

Thats it for murdering someone like that?
They'd probably get life +50 years here for that.

He'll get life for sure, but "life" here usually means parole after 10 years because we don't have enough prisons. IDK it depends on how much media attention it'll get.
