Very tragic for the family and friends of this teen. Not really sure why:

Rodriguez says two officers fired three shots and struck Gonzalez at least twice.

I'm sure if one officer aimed the shot correctly, he could have taken down Gonzalez without killing him. I smell and investigation coming up on this one.

That's true they shouldn't use lethal force on a 15 yr old. Although it doesn't make sense why the kid would bring a gun to school in the first place.

To me, it doesn't matter the age of the person. This teen held what looked like a real gun aiming directly at the officers. The officers, in fear of their own life, took action. I just think they could have used a shot to disable Gonzalez instead of two officers firing three shots. Little excessive in my opinion.

There will be charges of excessive force leveled at the police who opened fire. It's going to rather hard to justify why they felt threatened enough by this person to fire three shots at him. It's obvious the goal was to kill as they had no intentions of anything else. Police are trained in the firing of a gun so it hits its mark so the extra bullets weren't due to possibly missing but to kill the child.

Of course, there is plenty who will blindly support the police in everything they do because we all know the police can not do any wrong just like all those law abiding police they have over in the UK.
