A man in France was sent to prison Thursday after calling and texting his ex-girlfriend 21,807 times over the course of 10 months. The barrage amounted to more than 70 messages and calls a day. The unnamed defendant, a 33-year-old man from Rhone in southern France, began to harass the victim, a 32-year-old teacher, after she broke off the relationship in 2011, according to the Guardian which reported the story on Friday. The man, who has been hospitalized for depression in the past, said he could not accept the break up. He was apparently demanding the victim thank him for doing chores around their apartment. “At the time, my logic was that as long as she does not return my money, pay me for my work or at least tell me thank you, I would not stop my calls,” he said. “Looking back, it was stupid.” Manuella Spee, a lawyer for the man’s ex-girlfriend, said the victim couldn’t escape the harassment. “She tried to block her line, but he phoned her parents instead and her workplace,” the lawyer said.

Be more of a creepy stereotypical French guy, you can’t. But come on, this girl needs to get a clue. Oh sorry he annoyed you with his love and friendship. Girls are always saying shit like “Chivalry is dead” or “Why can’t I find a guy who want to be with me all the time and whole loves me deeply?”. Well here’s this chicks chance and she just blows him off completely and sends him to prison. That’s bull shit. You can’t have it both ways, ladies. You can’t say you want a guy to pay attention to you and only you and then turn around and send him to serious jail time when he does. That’s called flip flopping and nobody likes a flip flopper. Sure 21,807 sounds like a lot of text and calls but it also sounds like a lot of love. Here’s what’s going to happen. This girl who was so upset by the fact that her ex-boyfriend wouldn’t stop calling her and texting her is going to get a new boyfriend. And that new boyfriend isn’t going to call her excessively and isn’t going to love her as hard as the creepy French guy. Then she’s going to get sad and realize she misses the crazy guy and will want to get back with him. Moral of the story: woman are crazy and have no idea what they want.

PS- OR, and this is just a crazy hypothetical, the guy who called and texted her 21,000+ times needs to be put in an insane asylum and never allowed to touch a phone again. But that doesn’t sound right.

Yeah, this guy needs to learn that he can't keep doing this to people he's either been broken off with or broken it off with. That's way too much, way excessive amount of texts and calls.

Seeing this reminds me of the stupid things that happened to me two times. Some people who've gone through this should change their behaviour because issues like this affect - of course - both parts permanently, and one of the secondary effects (like in my case during the entire first half of 2014, and 2004 too) is to be afraid of maintaining contact with new people. That led me to seek help from my college's guidance counselor to tell my current classmates about my condition and what happened in 2003 and ten years later from that, something that my past classmates (including those from high school) didn't understand well.

Now as of September 1st 2014, I'm officially accepted by them so those 'past' issues I had to deal must go down. Btw my mom told me that the girl from 2003 tried to re-establish the friendship with me at some point, but that was because it was TWO years later from that year.

She's lucky it was merely calls and texts though, as this guy sounds like he was so obessed he could have taken it to the next level.
