I had no idea where to put this, so, it landed here:

Very recently, the Desk attended a performance event with several family members.

For the paying audience of several thousand supporters and enthusiasts the performances quickly degraded into a running gag that involved one of the paid, professional, highly qualified, and internationally respected, judges.

And yes, through the bourbon, various issues of real life nonsense, and my wife's ongoing health issues, I can..... make that... I CAN, still roust up a certain level of outrage at total, blatant, professional grade, stupidity, when the victims are otherwise innocent young people.

I share your outrage.....That's not even careless stupidity; seems just blatant & deliberate stupidity.
Sort of thing that makes you want to smack the guy.
