Anybody listen to this singing group? I just found on Facebook and Amazon that the guys came out with a new album called That's why God Made the Radio. Interesting album title over all. If I recall correctly, for the past few years or so they've mostly been coming out with Greatest Hits albums, and it's nearly always the same songs, but in newer forms. They didn't seem to do like other celebrities sometimes do where, when they've come out with a new Greatest Hits album, they come out with older songs that were popular with fans but didn't make the cut the last time around. Also, who's the new member of the group? I remember Brian Wilson passed away when I was still in school (I don't think I was even into forums yet, or if I was, it wouldn't have amounted to much, interest wise) The very last thing I remember vaguley was when the Backstreet Boys did a cover of When I Grow Up (to Be a Man). I'd found that one on YouTube once and the BSB did an awesome job. The Beach Boys were in the background (mostly playing instruments for the most part) but you can tell they were just loving what the BSB were doing! And I swear, had I heard about the Backstreet Boys before the Beach Boys, and the BSB actually released that song as a sort of cover thing (which also seems to be popular with celebrities) If I didn't know who was who, I'd swear it was either all the same singing group, or else I'd probably think there were ten members instead of five or something! Okay, that sounds a bit farfetched, but that's how my mind works sometimes lol.

I love these guys on the whole, and while I don't have too many of their albums, I love the older songs they've come out with. The When I Grow Up is just one I mentioned, but another personal favorite is Kokomo (I think I spelled that right!) Awesome singing group on the whole and I've been into these guys longer than the BSB, but both groups are equally good!

The Beach Boys are a great band and they have a lot of classics. I'd easily rate Pet Sounds in my top 5 album; Good Vibrations being my favorite of the Beach Boys and one of my favorite songs overall.

Soothing and relaxing? They have a lot of lively, dancy type songs too you know. But if you're talking vocal wise, I agree. Vocals are nicely modulated, they're all on key (although I've yet to hear that new guy) and they just have a lot of really cool and fun songs on the whole!

Well, just because a person likes one band, doesn't mean they have to like everything related to them!

And I messed up on the one who passed away. I read on Amazon that it was Carl Wilson who passed, not Brian. I grew up listening to these guys, but I guess I didn't do any research on them like I do with any other artists I find interesting. Of course, I was just a kid when I heard this band at the time, we didn't own a computer, I have a learning disabilty and did then too, and as far as TV viewing, like interviews and whatever, those were out of the question as back in those days I was more obsessed with Barney and Friends and Sesame Street. As for the Beach Boys, I only liked their music at the time... didn't know nothing about the singers at all.

They make great surf music. The Beach Boys have a theme around surfing in California and Hawaii. With multiple surf songs of the '60s and Kokomo in 1988, I think they're still rocking on and hanging ten.
