Geoff Bodine ranks as one of the most successful drivers in NASCAR history, having won 18 races in what is now known as the Sprint Cup Series.

Yet the Chemung native’s legacy could end up shining more brightly on his contributions to bobsledding in the United States.

The U.S. men’s four-man team will try repeat as Olympic gold medalist at the Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, which continue through Feb. 23.

The Americans topped the field four years ago at the Winter Games in Vancouver using the Night Train bobsled built by the Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project.
