Have you ever waited in a busy queue wishing you had a chair to perch on?

Swiss start-up company noonee has the perfect solution after creating the 'Chairless Chair' which enables you to sit down whenever you like.

The strap-on chair acts as lightweight, energy efficient device and is attached to your legs, allowing you to walk around freely and sit down when you want.

A button is used to control the lock mechanism and requires a special utility belt to attach to your waist.

The user just needs to move into the desired pose, activate the Chairless Chair, and then they can sit back and enjoy provided posture support.

CEO of noonee, Keith Gunura, said he came up with the idea while working as a packaging line worker and finding standing all day unbearable and uncomfortable.

With the help of his professor, Dr Fumiya Iida of the Bio-inspired Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich now at Cambridge University, they materialised the idea to various prototypes.

Mr Gunura explained: "The only reason they had no chairs in the factory was probably to maximise factory floor space with more packaging lines."

The Chairless Chair is not ready is not yet ready for the general public but noonee is currently piloting its device in factories that are willing to rent a set of the devices.

Would you try one of these?

'Course I'd try one, but it seems like a lot of effort to strap yourself into the thing. xD I'll take a regular chair, though.
