The Christmas season is celebrated in different ways around the world, varying by country and region. Elements common to many areas of the world include the lighting of Christmas trees, the hanging of wreaths, Christmas stockings, candy canes, and the creation of Nativity scenes depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas carols may be sung and stories told about such figures as the Baby Jesus, St Nicholas, Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Christkindl or Grandfather Frost. The sending of Christmas cards, the exchange of Christmastime greetings, observance of fasting and/or special religious observances such as a midnight Mass or Vespers on Christmas Eve, the burning of a Yule log, and the giving and receiving of presents.

Nope.

I consider it to be a Christian holiday. I'm not a Christian, so I do not partake. Same as how I don't celebrate Eid al-Fitr, because I am not Muslim.

Ehh, I only celebrate it because it's tradition and social norm says I have to. I don't particularly like christmas or any holiday which brings me in close proximity with my family.

Also it's cold and there's snow then. I hate winter.

My dad has a new family and so does my mother. I just don't belong there. They're just a bunch of strangers that annoy the crap out of me.

Plus being kicked out by both before I was 18 yrs old kinda makes me hate them.

I was kicked out at 18 too but I still cherished the time I had with my mom while she was still around. You only get one set of parents and they wont be around forever.

I was kicked out a 15 by my mom and then at 17 by my dad. I've also been in several boarding schools while growing up. They obviously didn't want me around while growing up, so why would I want them around now?

The only reason I'm going this year is because my sisters keep insisting. But really, there's nothing fun about christmas for me.
