(Storm Chaser Aaron Rigsby) For months, I covered Hurricane Helene as it smashed into Florida with lethal storm surge, and followed it up to the Carolinas where flooding of biblical proportions wiped literal towns off of the map. My heart was extremely heavy covering this event. But, the swarm of feedback that came with it and the people I got to meet along the way reminded me why I love what I get to do for a living and cover these events like nobody has seen it.

With everything that occurred when Hurricane Helene ravaged through Western North Carolina, it'll forever be ingrained in our memories the way 9/11, Pearl Harbor and JFK's assassination are ingrained in people's memories....
