The Dark Knight undoubtedly raised the bar for how an action hero movie is formulated, it captured the interest of numerous from it's compelling and seemingly unpredictable execution of story. It's one of the few movies that I've sincerely went out of my way to get tickets to watch in the theater and whilst debates will commonly raise as to whether or not it's the greatest hero movie to grace the big screen, there's no denying it to be one of them. Immediately as the finale was left in question numerous began to speculate as to who will grace Christopher Nolan's perspective of the Batman series next, whether it be The Riddler, or Mr. Freeze, Catwoman or the infamous Calender Man. The smoke has slowly but surely cleared and whilst I'd have adored more than anything for us to be graced with The Riddler, we've gone Bane. (Selina Kyle (Catwoman) is also listed)

Looking almost as if he's going to lead Clarice Starling to Buffalo Bill, Bane brings about a look similar to that of Hannibal Lecter. It's obviously that we aren't going to see the same Bane character that we witnessed as the crony of Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin, but even with that being the case will the Bane character be enough to serve as a worthy finale to Christopher Nolan's Batman? Will Cat Woman serve as the intelligence behind the antics of Bane or will he utilize his brute strength to cause havoc in Gotham with slightly new found calculating intelligence?

My friend who lives in another state from me saw this movie. She was just raving about how great it is. I have been checking my local theaters but so far the movie isn't being shown here yet. You better believe that once I see it's here, I'm going!

The film is scheduled for release in the United States and Canada on July 20, 2012, by Warner Bros. Is she perhaps talking about The Dark Knight as opposed to The Dark Knight Rises?

I emailed her and she was indeed talking about The Dark Knight. She got confused but also was saying that she saw the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises and that's what she was going on and on about. Thank you for letting me know the release date here which happens to be today! Now I really have to keep checking with my local theater every day!

It leaves much to be desired to be perfectly honest, have you seen The Dark Knight? Heath Ledger brings about a haunting performance right before his death and honestly stole the show.

I hope they won't make Bane sound as stupid as they did in I believe it was Batman and Robin. Guy's a lot smarter then that. I am wondering if they do plan to incorporate the story of Bane breaking Batman's back in this film? Although I have heard there will be a re-boot after this.

Yes, it was Batman & Robin, the character always struck me as more of a muscular character that is ordered around my the main character not just because of how it was with Poison Ivy, and I think they will do something of Batman getting his back snapped because they need to make Bane look like a major threat.

Nah, Bane may take orders but he is on his own a pretty smart guy.

Obviously, I disagree, I've watched the animated series and read the comics and whilst they tried to develop him as something more he never really caught on to me.

It should be a good one- will definitely try to go to theaters for this one. I wonder if Nolan will come back to make more after though since he only signed on for 3 originally.
