What's the dumbest thing you have been convinced to do by someone else?

The dumbest thing... I think it would have to be to invest $100 in a jewelry business with a friend. I say it's the dumbest thing because I have no interest in making jewelry or in actually selling them. I basically thought that if I gave her $100 she will make everything and sell it and I just reap in the profits. Stupid, I know. lol

What about you Jazzy?

This happened a long time ago when I was young and dumb.

My boyfriend convinced me to go skinny dipping with him. He said he knew the perfect spot. It was a small alcove on a private beach. While were swimming, I saw someone coming down a path towards the alcove. I told my boyfriend to hurry up and get out of the water. Too late as the person picked up our clothes and took off with them.

Next thing I heard were sirens. Up comes a police car with the spotlight on us. He told us to get out of the water immediately. I yelled back that were were naked and someone stole our clothes. Thankfully he brought us a blanket out of his trunk. My boyfriend and I 'shared' the blanket and stood there on the shore. I was scared and freezing.

The police officer told us we were trespassing and if the owner wanted to press charges, they could. He drove us up to the house where the person lived who stole our clothes. The person turned out to be an elderly man. When he saw my boyfriend and I in the back of the car, he said something to the police officer. The elderly man went back in the house and handed our clothes to the police officer.

The police officer told us the man didn't want to press charges. He just wanted to teach us a lesson. After my boyfriend and I got dressed, the police officer brought us home.

Lesson: It's called PRIVATE for a reason.

I am not easily manipulated, but my ex convinced to me to pierce my tongue back when I was 18. I wore it for a couple years and took it out after we broke up. For some reason that upset her. :dontknow:

Did that piercing hurt?

A little bit and for a few days after it was sore.

All I know is when I accidentally bite my tongue, it hurts like heck.

Temporarily I'm sure, just like a piercing.

Yes but the mouth is so full of bacteria. :green:

Did it affect your speech in any way?
