[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]There are several phones out that have dedicated Facebook button, the HTC Status and the recently released Motokey Social. These two devices were marketed to have ââ¬Åa deep integration with Facebookââ¬Â ââ¬â basically giving you one-touch access to your Facebook accountââ¬Â¦ but things could be getting deeper as the rumours of Facebook coming out with their own Android device are swirling once again.
[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Facebook has over 350 million mobile users and they have always looked for ways to go beyond a simple app that people download, this time itââ¬â¢s a handset currently codenamed ââ¬ÅBuffyââ¬Â. Apparently Facebook might be teaming up with HTC to produce a ââ¬Åmodified version of Android that Facebook has tweaked heavily to deeply integrate its servicesââ¬Â. The rumour is that Buffy could launch within 12 to 18 months, but both companies declined to comment.
[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]A spokesman for Facebook stated that ââ¬ÅOur mobile strategy is simple: We think every mobile device is better if it is deeply social. Weââ¬â¢re working across the entire mobile industry; with operators, hardware manufacturers, OS providers, and application developers to bring powerful social experiences to more people around the world.ââ¬Â
[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Would you use an Android-powered Facebook Phone? Easy uploads of pics, [font=inherit !important][font=inherit !important]videos, chat, Facebook/Skype integration etcââ¬Â¦
