In America, we went from locally forced segregation to federally forced integration — which is just as coercive, and just as wrong, as forced segregation. They are two sides of the same wrong-headed coin, politically and legally speaking.

The issue isn’t the survival of gay and lesbian people (or blacks, or any other minority). The issue is the right of people — all individuals — to decide for themselves what they think, what they believe, and in what way they choose to exercise those beliefs. If you’re a religious person who doesn’t want to associate with gay persons, then you don’t have to do so.

In an individual rights society, the only thing against the law (other than fraud) is force. How can anyone argue that today’s adversarial, legally confusing, morally hypocritical, and constitutionally questionable society is an improvement over that?

The problem is that the masses are stupid, ignorant, racist, prejudice, sexist, etc. And if it were left up to them, we'd have a cluster fuck of angry people telling each other their beliefs trump everyone else's and actually carrying out said beliefs because they were allowed to.

I disagree. I believe even if we are ignorant in so many things Americans want to do the right thing in a far majority and would much rather put my faith in a free people to make there personal decisions on such matters then have a government force it upon us under the power of a gun.

Believe me, I know you disagree. I just fund it ridiculous that some people get the shit end of the stick over others because somehow they're better and more deserving of their rights to live freely in this country. Honestly I think it would be a step backwards.

Doesn't matter, once Sharia is imposed, those who are homosexual / bisexual / etc, won't be for long.

Ahhhh...one would think anybody's who's so concerned about how imminent Sharia law is to being imposed here would hop, hop, hop to ensuring women in the U.S. have full equality...

...yanno, to get themselves as far away from 'Those People' and 'Their Beliefs' as is *humanly* (humanely?) possible.

Oh please not the false premise of equal pay again with men and women.

Who said I'm not for equality?

Please point out where, other than under the Federal Selective Service System which still discriminates, I have said that women in the US are less than full citizens?

Where did I say YOU'RE not?

You are NOT the only one who is frightened to death - and convinced - that the Muslims and their Sharia law are two shakes of a lamb's tail away from completely taking over the U.S....and that this is a horrific thing. Most who fear it suddenly become mini-me feminists (i.e., someone who believes in the economic, social, and political equality of men AND women) and begin citing how Muslim women are treated as inferiors in their homelands.

Seems before we as a country start telling other countries what's wrong with how they do things, we should make sure our own garden is weed-free, first, instead of relying on, "Well, at least we're not as bad as..." to be our saving grace.

I'm pretty much done with inserting facts and factual citations into *conversations* involving you, as it's been firmly established you're not a big fan of including facts and factual information when formulating your *thoughts*.

I give you facts

and you eat them.

As a matter of fact, this place was much more pleasant and intelligent when I simply ignored your posts. I like "pleasant" and "intelligent".

So it is about the down right lie about equal pay. Lol!

What I am eating is your un-factual facts.

And what is it with people who come in this area and whine, cry and personally attack like a new born with dirty diapers when someone has opposing opinions instead of keeping it on the discussion at hand.

Excuse me?

engage full on sarcasm mode

I absolutely LOVE the way you jump to conclusions.

And I'm done with this exchange.

They are not treating women as inferiors but instead camels get better treatment then women in that region. And I have never heard a sensible person say were not as bad because that statement would be beyond the biggest load of bunk ever said. Women and men are equals in this country in terms of rights and privelages.
