The second before you die...

I would think it would all depend on the reason you are dying. If you have suffered from a long and painful medical condition ( such as cancer ) I would think you would feel relief that the pain and suffering will be over. If you are dying from an accident then I would think you would feel remorse. Or perhaps it happens so quickly you don't have a second to even feel anything.

Absolutely spot on!! But I am a bit scared to even think about that very last second of my life. Am I the only one?

I'm not scared. We all have to die. No idea what my last thought would be, maybe hoping that someone puts a sword in my hand before I am cremated. Can't go to Valhalla without a weapon.
