Where were you and what were you doing when you received the worst news of your life?

People passing away on you, like family members.

It was the first time I actually experienced a death in the family. I was at home and answered phone. I got the news that my Nana had passed. I just remember throwing the phone down and crying.

I can't say this was the worst news I've heard as I was different. My grandmother Mary on my father's side, his mom died back in 1995. I was 9.

I found out several months later. I almost never saw my father. When I did see him that summer. I ask when we were going to drive down to Louisiana to see my grandparents. I told him I wanted to see grandma Mary and he replied that she was gone and he got upset and walked outside. I just sat there in the silence of it all. I hardly ever saw her so I had very little emotional attachment.
