My therapist who is also my psychiatrist is retiring on September 15th 2022. I wish him good luck in his retirement and to enjoy it fully and wholly, but I'll miss him. And I'm on the waiting list for a new one as he has cancelled all my appointments with him so yeah. I dunno who my next one will, female or male, know nothing about him/her. I'm a bit stressed out and anxious about it TBH. What about you? Do you have a therapist/psychiatrist/dr retiring?

My GP recently retired. I wasn't even aware of it until I got a notification about being assigned to another M.D. which took over her practice. I haven't even met the new doctor yet.

I've never even been to a therapist / psychiatrist, much less been assigned to one. In my country, seeking professional help when dealing with mental health issues is seen as a sign of weakness. People mock and ridicule those who seek help, talk about them behind their back and generally treat them as damaged goods, like a struggling animal who should be put out of their misery with a bullet to the head.

Having history of mental health problems even bars you from getting certain jobs, even if you're perfectly fine now and have no other health obstacles.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully your next one will be good!
