Well, I'm soon to be flying over to the USA for vacation, and I'm wondering what I should take to occupy myself with while at the airport/on the plane.

So far, I know that I'm taking:

PSP - GAMES GAMES GAMES GAMES

DSi - GAMES

iTouch - MUSIC AND GAMES

Netbook - INTERNET AND GAMES

Playstation Magazine - GAME NEWS

Are there anything else I should take? Should I really bring everything I listed?

What do you think?

I think that is good so far, I would also bring a book or two (sounds like a boring thing to do but just do it). When I last flew on a plane I didn't really do much, I brought basically everything you have listed. Just watching out the window will keep you occupied for much longer than you may think.

How long is the flight?

We're taking multiple flights to different states, so quite a long time of airports and planes.

I think I'll bring all of my Playstation Magazines with me (I have 4), and I might actually read the articles, not just read the titles and look at the pictures

Sounds like you've got everything covered and I can't think of anything else. Perhaps some of the airlines will offer movies that you can watch.

I always take:

Earplugs (I get bad pain in my ears when flying)

Mp3 player

and a book

I think I should leave my DSi behind...

My back-pack is 95% electronics, and that means when going through those scanners, I'd have to empty most of my bag :/

Ive only flown to Seattle and back which is a 2 hour flight. I was looking out the window the whole time.

Doesn't your backpack go through the scanners as a whole? Normally you only have to empty your pockets.

Oh yeah, I would also bring lots of gum, starburst, or some other chewy candy. The ascension can hurt pretty bad sometimes, and chewing some gum or whatever can help.

Is that so? Maybe my memory is just fuzzy from my last flight...

Yeah, they should be able to scan everything that's inside the bag.

You are correct Cranos. They scan the bag and if the bag sets off alarms, then they empty the bag.
