Heh, he said that they have DNA evidence and a "perfect boot print" BUT they're still asking anyone with information to call in at the end.
Why not solve the crime and give the $1000 reward (for information leading to the arrest) to the restaurant instead?

Good point, but he did say in the video that they are waiting on the lab results. The time and money have already been spent.

yes, the police lie to get what they want, sometimes it works and saves time and money, other times it doesn't...
i think what he meant was that they have evidence and will get lab results if needed...
but they always try the cheap way first and try to get the criminals to turn themselves in or have someone rat...
