What are your impressions of the latest installment in the Forza Motorsport series,
specifically in terms of the game's mechanics, physics, and attention to minute details?

(its only exclusive to Xbox series S/X and Pc (windows) )

I hate the forced practice laps, that is so frustrating. They need to make those optional.

It's not for me. I got burned out on racing games as a child. It's all my mom used to get me. I used to play Cruis'n USA, Need For Speed, and Mario Kart. Shit got old. If you've played one, you've played them all.

Pretty accurate, though they have made them super realistic these days.

True, they can only do so much with them. I get more fun out of speeding down the highway than I do playing games like Forza or Need For Speed.

Sounds like my sister, she was a menace behind the wheel! I was...ahem...not. :D
Before I became really withdrawn and burned all of my bridges, my friends and I used to go on small old highways out in the country and just race each other, that is until I almost had a really bad accident. We were so dumb.

Yeah, just takes that one moment to shake you out of it, for sure.

I used to want to be a race car driver. I loved the high I got out of speeding. Some of the guys at work used to call me lead foot.

Sounds like you should've hit the tracks, seen how you fared on the legit circuit. Could've been a real outlet!
I'm not very mechanically inclined. My step father raced cars as a hobby on a dirt track stadium in town for small cash rewards. He mostly landed 3rd or 4th place. Most of those guys modified their cars. He installed the engine and electrical himself, spray painted it black and yellow, and welded the safety bars in the car. After he was done, it only had the driver's seat in it. He had it souped up. I remember he had a few close calls on the track. His steering wheel came right off in the middle of a race and it scared the shit out of him. I remember him telling us about it at dinner one night.

Yikes! Yeah, that would be quite the wakeup call!

That was 30 years ago. I was too young for him to teach me and by the time I was a teenager, he was too old and didn't work on cars or race them anymore. I never took an interest nor did I take any classes on it either because I had other interests. Which explains why I'm very lacking when it comes to auto repair. The most I can do is change a tire or swap out a battery.

About the same as me, mechanically. Just never took to it.

I have learned that Auto Repair is a very difficult skill to learn and I'm told most of the mechanics we do get at the dealership aren't very good ones. They can't even work on electric cars yet because they're so different and this is factoring into why less and less people are buying them. It's a problem most dealerships are facing.

Yeah, electric cars are a mystery to me. Feels like a laptop on wheels, I've got zero interest in them, lol. I feel hydrogen fuel cells will be the way forward, but that's a ways off yet. But I do agree, totally, auto repair is very difficult to learn and master.
