Dover, DE got a lot of wind and rain, some trees down, few power outages, and so on.



But the area took more damage from a rather energetic thunderstorm a couple of weeks ago.



For a Tropical System, Irene was most definitely over-hyped.

The news about the whole thing coming shocked me. I never expected New York to get hit but then again I had never expected Christchurch to get hit by Earthquakes.



This year has indeed been surprising for disasters. I do hope everyone is okay though.
